I wanted to let you know that all of us at Tandana are thrilled with the results of our fall fundraising campaign, especially the major donor asks. Your support and encouragement have been instrumental in making this great success possible, particularly in giving me the confidence to actually do it and the know-how to approach it well. So, thank you.
Anna Taft
Executive Director, Tandana Foundation

Mallory helped me to quickly identify the barriers that were standing in my way of making effective asks with major donors. Fear was a big one. She helped me see that communicating authentically (not perfectly) with donors and being transparent about the purpose of my calls were key. Within days of starting to work with Mallory, I had two major donor meetings set up and both resulted in significant gifts. In fact, one donor even gave $5K MORE than I asked for. Her approach to fundraising and insightful guidance has had a direct, positive impact on our organization’s bottom line. You won’t regret investing in this program!

Mallory Erickson started working with our established social services nonprofit during a critical leadership gap leading up to a fundraising event type we’d never done before. All of this during the Covid era, when staff were more than usually stretched and our organization had its work cut out for us to maintain program impact remotely. From the very beginning (when she introduce the concept of “Fearless Fundraising” to us) all the way to the present, Mallory helped us plan, prospect, and execute our campaign, raise an unprecedented amount of funding, help to onboard a brand new head of Development, and charmingly coalesce diverse groups of people (Board members, executive leadership, donors, and committee members) to accomplish great things together. She has also helped us tremendously to formulate strategic, realistic fundraising goals, budget and prospect leads, articulate program impact, deepen donor relationships, and acquire new sources of funding. She is charismatic, cohesive, and a bundle of positivity and clarity – there is not a single conversation we’ve had where I did not learn from the Power Partners Formula, and come away refreshed and raring to go. But more than cheering us on, Mallory continues to help me focus my efforts, come up with concrete actions to take, and create realistic projections around fundraising goals. Fundraising is about meaning in life, purpose alignment with others, and powerful storytelling. It takes a lot of personal energy and professional acumen, and Mallory somehow has the ability to refresh and sharpen both.

When I signed up for Mallory’s coaching program, I never could have imagined how much it would change my life – both professionally and personally. Looking at fundraising through your own personal emotional state, and recognizing that you already know what to do, but what your limiting beliefs are – is a total game changer.
Using Mallory’s unique approach to thinking through your emotional state, your fundraising style, and your organization’s assets and super powers gives you a whole new perspective on your fundraising efforts. During this bootcamp Mallory walks you through each step of the process to help you identify where you’re wasting your energy, but more importantly where you are missing out on opportunities for growth. This program made me think about my organization’s fundraising activities in a whole new perspective and I can’t wait to plan out the next 12+ months of fundraising activities and blow the current goals out of the water.

Working with Mallory while going through the fundraising process felt like a dose of sanity every week. She helped me stay on track, on point, and on purpose. Not only did she provide support on the practical level – keeping me prioritized, goal-oriented and taking the necessary steps but her support was crucial for the psychological and emotional impacts of the fundraising process. She called me out on the places I was playing small, helped me consciously bring to the light areas where my own fear was getting in the way, and gave me tools to increase my effectiveness during conversations with potential investors. Mallory showed up each week with focus, encouragement, and fantastic tools. I grew leaps and bounds by working with her and am so grateful for her coaching.

Mallory Erickson was an invaluable asset to help set me up for success in my new role as Development and Marketing Director. She is a kind, warm, experienced and passionate woman who truly cares about others and how they approach fundraising and donors.
Highly recommended! The Fearless Fundraising Strategic System provided me with valuable strategic insights, tools and resources to help overcome my fundraising fears and build a solid plan to raise more money. Thank you Mallory for a great hands on and interactive session!

Mallory has such a way of breaking down the barriers of fundraising. By starting with understanding the energy you put into fundraising and identifying your style – you’re able to lean into your strengths and identify your areas of growth. One of the best things I took away from her program is to “not make any assumptions”. It’s easy to build fear in your head about why someone wouldn’t want to support your organization, but when you remove the assumptions, you see that it was an assumption that was keeping you from an opportunity. These tools will help you better understand your fundraising potential and help you take the necessary steps to starting being fearless!
Working with Mallory one on one felt like a breakthrough. She walked me through the energies I have and talked me through how to overcome the negative energy holding me back. She asks great guiding questions and let’s you talk through some things to come up on that “Ah ha” moment that sometimes we can’t see. As a result I now have personal goals and mantras for things I plan to work on. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without Mallory’s support. Instead of having my self critic holding me back in my head, I’m going to replace them with Mallory cheering me on instead! I’m beyond grateful!

Mallory Erickson’s Training is absolutely very practical. All the pearls I picked, I am going to use in my day to day fundraising.
My apologies, I forgot to mention the most important part: Ms. Erickson’s Training is also a very original idea. I have been attending Seminars, Workshops on Fundraising for more than twelve years, and Webinars for more than five years. Most of these serve as refresher course with the same ideas being recycled. Ms. Erickson’s Training for more than three hours is all through and through full of original new ideas. Very useful training, both for beginners and for very advanced fundraisers.

I was expecting to get an overall basic course learning about how to run a nonprofit. But what I instead received was so much more valuable and really priceless. During this time together I was able to dig deep and find the root issue with asking for money, understanding my worth, and keeping my focus on my mission personally and professionally. I was able to respectfully leave a bad funding relationship behind me and see the opportunities that were ahead. I was also able to not even blink when asking for the compensation that I’m worth. Our time together helped me make decisions both professionally and personally that will serve me.

Mallory is an incredibly caring, calm, and inspiring coach. With a coaching background myself, I find it important to work with someone who really understands how to focus a session, provide targeted goal- setting and next steps, while creating a space where I can bring my full experience to our work together and know it is valued and appreciated. As a Development Director for a small organization, I worked in small team and even in the first session with Mallory, I felt like I had an extra teammate in her that could help me creatively see solutions to challenges with ease. I would absolutely recommend Mallory to anyone looking to take their work to the next level!

I cannot speak highly enough of Mallory. You know the people who are so warm, so encouraging, so wise that they were BORN to help others reach their goals? That’s her.
When we first started working together, I was in a huge rut of self-doubt and fear. I was clueless as to how I was going to find a job that was right for me, paralyzed by feelings of inadequacy, and guilty that I couldn’t seem to just get it together. I struggled every day with voices in my head that told I wasn’t doing enough.
Mallory immediately put me at ease from the first moment we spoke. It was never hard to express my feelings or fears, and she always made me feel heard.
Besides being super compassionate, she’s also incredibly insightful. She showed me new ways to look at the challenges ahead of me and break down what I would need to do to find a job that really fulfilled me. She helped me identify and move past key limiting beliefs that were keeping me from being productive and – more importantly – happy.
Thanks to her, I now have a job that feels really good for me, where I can use my talents and learn every day. I wouldn’t trade my time with Mallory for anything in the world, and if you can work with her, than ABSOLUTELY go for it! You have nothing to gain but greater self-confidence and movement forward in your life.

As a manager, leader, and coach, Mallory exemplifies the word “empowering.” She is extremely perceptive, with a keen eye for identifying and building people’s strengths while simultaneously providing constructive, tailored advice to work on opportunities for improvement. As a mentor, her coaching is always incredibly actionable; rather than providing vague advice, she has helped me develop specific skill sets that immediately translate into effective daily practices. Mallory has also been tremendously supportive and encouraging, helping me strengthen my confidence even throughout the natural discomfort that comes with growth and uncertainty. She is chock-full of insight, wisdom, and experience, and she has helped me grow tremendously as both a working professional and a leader. Finally, she is also incredibly intelligent and sharp. She never misses a beat, and she is always thinking critically about the best (and most creative!) approach to difficult situations. In the end, she is extremely passionate about supporting others in their professional growth, and I can’t think of a more caring, thoughtful, and inspiring coach. She effuses positivity and optimism, and she has helped me better understand and appreciate the most important parts of who I am and who I have the potential to become. I am incredibly grateful for everything I have learned from working with Mallory, as I know her mentorship will benefit every aspect of my future career – and, more broadly, my entire life.

I have had the privilege of working with Mallory at The diaTribe Foundation over the past year, throughout which she has been a key driver of my professional growth. She brings a unique combination of productivity and sensitivity to coaching and leadership development. Though Mallory and I have focused in particular on building more powerful communication, her diversity of experience allows her to get to the heart of different challenges with (and maximize the strengths of) a wide variety of individuals, from recent college graduates to seasoned professionals. Mallory is a rare example of someone who both exhibits strong leadership and excels at building that capacity in others – I couldn’t recommend her strongly enough.

Now that I’ve worked with Mallory, I believe everyone would benefit from coaching. In each session I gain a clearer perspective about what I want and what’s holding me back. She helps me to break down my mindset, behaviors, and circumstances to sift through what is under my control and what my choices are. I leave feeling both heard and challenged, and I’ve been so impressed with her structure, objectivity, and empathy. I noticed a shift in the energy I bring into the workplace in just a few sessions.

“Mallory brings a unique blend of empathy and action to her management that allowed me to push myself during the time we worked together. She is a dynamic director, equally skilled at program development, fundraising, and strategic planning. She brings vision and drive to the places she works.

Mallory approaches coaching on a genuine human level, recognizing the strength of each individual person she develops. She draws on her own strengths of compassion and to help others realize their capabilities, even when they doubt themselves.

Mallory taught me that it is okay to go against what society tells you to do. The way that “everyone” else is doing things isn’t perfect either. She showed me how to be a strong leader in an authentic and compassionate way. The leadership skills that I gained through Mallory’s coaching have allowed me to take on new challenges with confidence.
