Prior to Pledge, James was one of the early pioneers of text messaging leading two companies (Mogreet, Outspoken) to exits to Silver Lake and Blackstone portfolio companies. These companies powered the delivery of billions of text messages on behalf of thousands of organizations, ranging from the former President, Barack Obama, to Salesforce and for nonprofits, including Crisis Textline. Mr. Citron is a graduate of Princeton University, a member of Nationswell, the CEO Advisor Board of Conscious Capitalism, and a board member for the Resilience Foundation.

Diana Chaplin has recently joined the Pledge team as the Director of Marketing & Storytelling. Pledge is an award-winning fundraising platform that makes it easy for businesses, nonprofits, and individuals to make a positive impact in their communities and around the globe. Prior to Pledge, Diana was the Marketing Director at global reforestation nonprofit One Tree Planted, establishing the organization as a media-savvy environmental brand and growing a robust internal team. She oversaw content throughout all web, email, social media, and custom distribution channels, and developed key marketing and communication strategies across audiences that range from one-time donors who just wanted to plant trees to major global brands seeking to fulfill sustainability goals. Her experience includes working directly with Starbucks, Coldplay, Heineken, Origins, BBC, Salesforce, Caterpillar Foundation, Lexus, MLS Soccer, Barnes & Noble and many other B2B and D2C campaigns that are both impact-oriented and consumer-friendly. In addition to Marketing and Communications, Diana’s experience also includes leadership development through the lens of emotional intelligence, which greatly contributes to quality professional relationship-building and competencies that elevate an organization’s capacity to lead with love and create a positive place to work.
